When a newsletter reader, Miss D, learned that my last Chinchilla Persian, Whyspurr, had passed and having lost several cats and a dog herself, she knew how I was grieving.
She turned to her husband and said, “I feel deeply for Mary Ellen. I want to buy her a Persian.” Her husband responded, “If it makes you feel good to do it, then do it” and she did.
Of course, Miss D did not tell
me of her new mission. She searched the internet for a Persian from the Dearheart line of Fancy Feast cats. She spoke to breeders and once she chose the purr-fect one she phoned me revealing ‘her secret’.
What sealed the deal for Miss D was that these rare kitten breeders are often located 4,000 miles from Angel Scribe.
The breeder startled Miss D when she said, “I live near the Oregon/Washington border.” Miss D knew, “It was meant to be” because Angel Scribe also
lives ‘near the border’ not a continent away!
I was flabbergasted at the news. Here was a reader from 1996, who knew my heart. I wanted to laugh, to cry, to thank her, to hug her, but she was in another country. How do you thank a person who gifts you years of love? The only way is to share the kitten’s life with readers spreading joy and cuteness. On planet earth, there are good people and Miss D is one of them.
Mr. E. Fluffington, is the only son of
Aspen’s litter of four. (I wanted a male, so he’s heaven sent -no choice involved.). He’ll meet his big sister Shasta Fluffington at the end of September.
An interesting tid-bit is that I thought that my life with cats was over, but my mystical friend, Atira, did not agree. For two years, she predicted that I would be getting not one but two more cats that look like the Wingletts fur family. This was neither affordable nor paws-ible due to the high cost of this rare Persian
breed. How could I duplicate another Chinchilla Dearheart? She then said, “Don’t put away little Whyspurr’s toys and bowls as a rescue is right around the corner. Well, two weeks later, our rescue, Shasta, who looks exactly like Whyspurr’s mother, Miss Wings, was in need of a new family. Not only that proved true but Mr. Fluffington’s mother, Aspen, also looks exactly like Miss Wings. Unexplainable!?
So, to our wonderful readers around the world, NEVER stop believing in
miracles, because yours are also around the corner waiting to materialize!
Mr. Fluffington’s Godmother's joy of surprising me with a dream kitten radiates out happiness around the globe into readers’ hearts as his future tales unfold in Pet Tips ‘n’ Tales.

TIPS
When kittens are born, handle them often and gently, familiarizing them with human touch.
When playing with them, move toys slowly so they can focus.
Brush them with a toothbrush so future grooming is easier.
Don’t rub their stomach; it makes them defensive.
Watch their body language, if they appear angry or scared by what you are doing,
it is not funny, to them it's frightening and breaks their trust in you.
Rub any new incoming pet with a piece of your worn clothing so it smells like ‘family’ to your other pets for a faster acceptance into your clan
