Being the parents of Persians means alot of creative cleaning and grooming so everyone is happy.
We replaced our cloth chairs with leather ones so the cat fur would slide off.
All our clothes are light colors because dark ones turn into long white hair
magnets.
We clean the coach and bedspread with a yellow rubber kitchen glove to gather all the fur.
The kitties love being groomed with a man's short black comb and a furmanator.
We use rubber brooms because their static electricity easily gathers the pet hair off the floor.
We place towels out where the cats love to sleep and wash the towels
weekly.
We steam clean the cats' beds.
The cats still love to chase balls, chew catnip toys, and their Da-bird toy remains their all time favorite toy.
The kitties purr-fur sleeping in boxes, so we replace the boxes once a month to keep fleas at bay.
The cats like to go outside in their cat castle, so we changed all their wood bridges to wider boards and put in ramps to
adjust to their elderly status.
Because our cats are seniors, time with them is purr-ecious. They have a few health issues and we are treating them with diet, natural foods and homeopathic remedies. Miss Wings can tell when her acupuncturist's car is at the end of our block. She benefits from her appointments, but she still runs and hides when she hears his vehicle.
Miss Wings is the alpha kitty and continues to keep us all on
our toes!
My husband and I hope you have enjoyed our cats over the years. I tell them their job is to make others smile. They have done their job well.
