Angel Scribe’s cats are not ordinary felines. They are meow-media magnets featured in newspapers and magazines around the world. I flew one to New York and he swam with Anderson Cooper as his lifeguard. The entire feline family also appeared internationally on Animal Planet and numerous other TV shows.
That is all hiss-tory now. Today, the retired athletes are 18-year-old seniors with health problems and diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. The cats started vomiting all store- bought foods. It was expensive and scary to think we were wasting money and somehow contributing to poisoning them. Because of their advanced age and declining health, we began making their food to keep them healthy and comfortable. We purr-chased ‘U-Stew For Cats and Dogs’ from ‘Know Better Pet Foods’
supplemental powder online and began adding it into their food.
The benefit of their diet is that ALL vomiting stopped. We are not sure if there is currently another mystery ingredient being added to pet foods, but the end results were wearing the cats, us, our wallet, and the rugs out!
Now, whatever we are having for dinner, so do the cats. We will cook up an extra hamburger patty, or full chicken leg, turkey, and once a month open a can of tuna.
“We recommend, and only for cats dealing with kidney disease, canned pumpkin or steamed squash added to their food,” said Dana, inventor of this amazing pet product. “Cats are true carnivores and as you have witnessed, they thrive on a meat-based diet.”
Lately, we cook six whole chicken legs in the oven with ½ inch of water. After the chicken is cooked, we pour the nutrient rich liquid (golden jelly) at the bottom of the pan into a glass jar and place in the fridge to separate the grease.
We peel the meat off the bones and place it in the fridge to cool. We then boil the bones for marrow goodies, and place in the fridge to separate and then toss away the grease. (I actually give the cats half of it and the other half is made into our soup.)
After everything is cooked, we place the golden jelly, bone broth, chicken (NO bones), and ‘U-Stew Powder for Cats’ into a blender. (This product includes their necessary taurine and digestive aid.)

We buzz up the mixture, as the cats dance at our feet. When we place their meal onto plates, they gobble it up. Blender leftovers are put in freezer baggies, onto a cookie sheet, and squished flat. After frozen solid, we easily stack their meals like a deck of playing cards into the freezer.
Cold food is hard on digestion, so their food is defrosted and served warm to assimilate for higher nutrition. We often add a tad boiled water and stir it in with our fingers so their old tummies don’t get cold food.
Well supplied now, we won’t run out of pet food and their new energy has them running hallway zoomies and playing. In cat years, 18 is 88 in people years and 88 year old humans can’t zoom anywhere.
Myster E. stopped drinking copious amounts of water and his urine output looks and smells normal. The twins’ fur has transformed from an old-sick cat greasy look into a soft-fluffy fur like when they were two years old. They are no longer picky eaters. They have a healthy appetite, gained weight, muscles and a renewed flexibility. Their once tired eyes are sparkling again. We thought we were experiencing a kitty miracle times two! Paws-ibly we are!
