Pet Food Alerts

I  contacted the FDA in Portland, Oregon and he said he is getting right onto this recent news of potentially relabeleing pet foods.

He said he doubts that the old melamine pet food could be resold and relabeled.  That is good news.

Our cats only get canned food.  But if your cat/dog is ill.  Immediately change their food and be alert.  Seek Veterinary help and mention the food brand.

Never force a pet to eat food it does not want.  We often put down two types cans of cat food.  If they don't touch one of the cans, we know which of the two is off.

If you leave the food down, thinking, "Darn it. I paid good money for that food.  Now you stop being stubborn and eat it" ....you might regret your actions.  Your pets are smarter than you think.

Vet bills and sick pets are more expensive than returning bad food to a store.  If enough of us return food that makes our pets ill, the stores will lose money, and this action will make them pay attention.

Never just throw the food out.  This means other pet parents are oblivious to the dangers of a bad brand and will unknowingly feed it to their pets.
